Bruno's Community Chain

A signature hands-on learning experience that helps students discover how Canadian communities are connected.

Throughout Bruno's journey, students investigate how:

LAND → NATURAL RESOURCES → JOBS → GOODS → TRANSPORTATION → TRADE → COMMUNITIES

Students build and revisit Community Chains as they travel across Canada with Bruno, helping them see how a natural resource can become a product, how people and transportation help move goods, and why communities depend on one another.

By the end of the unit, students understand that every province and territory has something valuable to contribute—and that Canadian communities are stronger because they are connected through trade.
