Ontario Interdisciplinary Curriculum Aligned for Grades 2 & 3

Bruno’s journey across Canada is more than a series of stories. It is a year-long exploration of identity, community, responsibility, and belonging — told through the eyes of a curious beaver who sometimes makes mistakes, learns from them, and grows.

As students travel with Bruno from province to province and territory to territory, they will:

• learn about Canada’s geography, communities, and cultures
• grow as readers, writers, and thinkers
• reflect on emotions, choices, and relationships
• explore what it means to be responsible, fair, and kind

This unit plan provides a complete set of lesson ideas and learning outcomes. Feel free to combine lessons or skip some.
